The Angels are no longer in the Mark Teixeira business.
Believing that his team was being used merely to drive up prices, Angels owner Arte Moreno withdrew from negotiations with their biggest free agent.
Boras, doing his best “who, me?”, denied the accusations:
“Mark Teixeira enjoyed his time with the Angels and was an integral part of their [...]

The Boston Red Sox are giving 2B Dustin Pedroia a six-year $40.5 million contract with an $11 million option for 2015, thus avoiding arbitration and retaining the rights to the reigning MVP through his prime playing years.

From The Sports Network:
“The Chicago Cubs have re-signed right- hander Ryan Dempster to a four year deal. Although financial terms were not revealed, the contract is believed to be worth $52 million.
Dempster returned [...]

The Dodgers have reportedly offered Manny “Being Manny” Ramirez a multi-year contract that would make him the second highest paid player in baseball (with an average annual salary of somewhere between $23 and $27.5 million).
Manny is a hall-of-famer who put together one of the better second halves in recent memory last summer. But he’s also [...]
